Regatta Checklist
Use this checklist to ensure you are setting up your Regatta with all available features on Clubspot!
1. Create a Regatta
First, go to your club’s dashboard, go to Events, Regattas, and then click “+ New Regatta” in the top right-hand corner. This will prompt you to create a name for the regatta and the start date. Once you complete that, it will bring you to your new regatta’s dashboard.

Select Regatta Event Date
Toggle ON Guest Checkout if you would like guests to be able to access the registration
2. Set Up Regatta Settings
After you have created the regatta, it is now time to configure the regatta settings. Regatta setup
Add Regatta Administrators i.e. Sailing Director, Scorers to have access to the regatta dashboard only
Upload NORs, SIs, etc to Notice Board and Race Documents as a PDF
Add Classes
Add Divisions
👉 Classes are required for registration
Update Inbound Payment options for regatta participants
Update Entry Fees for each class, including any member discounts
Set Entry Caps for each class as well as an automatic waitlist, if needed
Option to add membership validation to the registration
Upload Waiver and link to respective classes
Accounting > under Reporting > Accounting ensure that the regatta is mapped to your club’s correct Chart of Account. Check out Income Account Mapping for more details
3. Publish Regatta
If you have configured all the settings for the regatta, now the regatta is ready for registrations!
Hosted Clubspot Website
Go to Settings tab > Basic Details > click the Publish toggle for the event to show up on your club’s calendar
Website not Hosted with Clubspot
Copy the Event Details link via email or post to the club’s website

Send email or SMS text updates to participants

5. Scoring a Regatta
Prior to event day, make sure the scorer is up to speed on how to score within Clubspot!
Create Races
Set Start Times
Use throwouts
Update letter scoring
Run a test race!
